About the Construction Section
ABA Construction Section aapproves and monitors all capital improvement projects for most state agencies ensuring such projects conforms with state laws and regulations, including the ABA Minimum Standards and Criteria. The Section supervises the bidding process, including the coordination of bid dates, publishes the advertised bid dates, reviews and approves projects from the initial funding to the final payment and make periodic inspections for payment purposes. It approves all awards of capital improvement contracts, change orders, as well as payments made to architects, engineers and contractors. Applications to be placed on the bidder's list, Division 0 documents, and other forms can be located in "Forms and Documents."
The ABA Construction Section assists the ABA Design Review Section by reviewing bid and contract documents and assists the ABA Leasing Section by providing observations services for leasing projects. We maintain a database of all on-going capital improvement projects.
